 Many young people in the workforce change their jobs or careers every few years. What are the reasons for this? Do the advantages outweigh its disadvantages?
   Nowadays there is a common phenomenon that many young adults in the labour market switch their jobs or careers frequently. This essay will focus on the reson of this phenomenon, and its positive and negative outcomes.

This phenomenon is due to many factors. On the one hand, young people are always adventurous and prefer trying something new. Sometimes they don’t really know what kind of job is the most suitable. Consequently, job popping happened frequently. This can mainly attribute to their ambiguous career plans and ladders. Another reason can be ascribed to the easy acess to information. At present, there are an rising number of books and websites related to job-hunting, which can usually be exaggerated to attract job-seekers. After comparing these information with the reality, people may have a higher requirement of job satisfaction and will not be satisfied with the present job anymore.

As for this situation, if can create both positive and negative outcomes. There are some drawbacks it can bring. Firstly, frequent job-hopping means that it is impossible to make long-term achievement, which will lead to fewer chances to be promoted. Secondly, such employees may be considered to be unreliable and not trustworthy. As a result, directors may not like to hire them because of thee lack of stability. As to the enterprise, such kind of job-hopping will cause the outflow of core information, which can harm the competitive power of the enterprise in the market.

Admittedly, a series of conflicts and issues can arise from frequent job changing, it still brings a number of advantages. To some degree, it can help young people find their favourite job. Only after plenty of experiences of different kind of jobs can they realise their interests. Besides, young adults can get more information and resources and expand their community cycle after working in various of fields. That is beneficial to their development.

In summary, frequent job changing mainly due to young people’s interests and high requirements of job satisfaction. Generally speaking, I suppose it can bring more advantages than disadvantages.
