B卷：
第一篇：
shaker basket讲一个地方的人做东西不注重decoration，而是注重用途，因为他们与外界isolated，所以和外界不一样。那个地方的人尤其篮子做的特别好，基本都是在做篮子的市场一起做，有很多种用途。有的可防止潮湿，有的加了个东西还能在冰上用，减小stress。后来篮子也被improve了，因为有各地区交流。
第二篇：
版本一：
恐龙有两种hatch的方式，一个是在nest里下蛋，总之不好确定，因为fossil。。后来两个实验，都证明了是在nest里。又讨论了可以和其他动物对比，和bird，发现是一个祖先，所以发展特征也差不多。
版本二：
有一篇讲恐龙的两种保护宝宝行为。一种是生前行为如筑巢，另一种是生后的如喂养。M恐龙巢里有小宝宝，故推断有第一种，但后面一种就不好说了，后一种m的巢距离一定，所以可能孵蛋，小龙牙上有痕迹可能喂养。

Conversation 1
一个对话教授和学生讨论－首诗 lemon ，一个诗人写的，讨论这个诗人，这个诗人经常写一些常见的东西，但是写作手法很特别，然后学生说自己想写诗说了自己的想法过这首诗学到很多东西。
Conversation 2
有一个会议，一个老师会在会议上有个非常有趣的lecture ，会议离学校很近，学生可以参加，学生要为 news letter 写文章，而且正好是学新闻学的。教授说问什么不在网站上写，有两好处： l ．不记得了； 2 ．其它学校可以看到。但是在网站上也有两个问题： l ．缺少专业网站制作人 2 . 不太会用网站。学生说没问题，我的室友就会做网站，说可以发些e-mall 给老校友。

Lecture 1 民族迁徙
在美国一个民族，一直居住在美国西南四州，但是 12、13 世纪开始向南迁徙。首先一个问题：专家为什么知道他们搬走了？ l ．他们住的 location 在 cliff 上，跟之前居住环境相似 2 ．有很厚的墙，也是他们一贯的建筑风格 3 . roof 也跟原来的建筑相似。然后提出一个问题，为什么搬走了？提出假说：干旱。科学家对屋顶上的木头进行研究，从年轮判断气候，发现有干旱。
但是一个科学家质疑，说 13 世纪后期有降水。另一个科学家也说，即使在干旱条件下，他通过对以前这个民族种植的了解，他觉得那个民族也是足以维持基本生活。教授觉得可能不是一个only factor 到时迁徙，然后提到当时有其它的民族迁徙了过来，加上干旱，资源就不够用了。
Lecture 2 物种收到威胁
人类的发展，动物 habitat 被破坏，有些动物种类下降，但是在一个保护区中，habitat没有破坏，但是一种生物，他们数量依旧下降了，专家研究原因，他们提出： l . Ozone 的破坏， Solar radiation 增多；2 ．全球变暖，提出概念：叠加效应， 1 + l = 3，二者相加就导致该生物大量下降。
为什么这种生物这么有研究价值，因为 1 ．它们特别容易受到气候影响 2 ．它们的 egg 易受影响
Lecture 3 迪斯尼发明
Disney 迪士尼大家都很熟悉，但实际上有些特别厉害的地方，提到一个东西 steam boat 动画电影，学生说：迪士尼很厉害因为能把声音融入进去。 steam boat 是第一部商业化成功的 sound movie ，第一部赚钱的电影。另外迪斯尼研究出了一种特殊的 camera 。教授比如剧里有树，篱笆， house , sun ，根据日常经验看，离 house 越近，东西越大， sun 是不变的，这就给画的人带来了一个难题，他就想怎么解决。迪士尼怎么得到的灵感？他看 theater 的布景，发现布景都是不动的，他就发明了camera ，由上到下四层，由近到远，其它片在动，最后一个片不动。但是这种 camera 很准操作，所以只用在很长的电影上。
Lecture 4 分辨颜色
关于原色，白光是各种光汇合所以阳光通过棱镜就会分解长七色光，但是若在一些情况下有些颜色分不清，红的、黄的、橙色的，人们主要看到的是红色。再比如教授说自己起来穿袜子室内看两只都是黑色，到室外发现一只黑一只蓝，为啥？因为在室内人造光源 ,光中不包含蓝色，袜子就不能发射蓝色光， 所以显示黑色，但是太阳光下就能看出来了。然后解释汽车工业中由于此种现象很难让所有颜色匹配，比如塑料盒另一种物质，涂色的时候很难匹配，于是发明一种radio light lamp 避免这种情况，尽可能在室内模仿太阳光。

Task 1: Your university of planning to replace paper books with electronic books, what is the advantage and disadvantage of this plan?

Task 3
Modem literature has become more and more popular, so the university has adopted two approaches to enroll more students. The first way is to change small classrooms into bigger ones, the second way is have more session in the evening.
The man disagrees with this. Firsily because it is more convenient to have group discussions in small classroom, secondly because some students have part time jobs in the evening, they may lack time to aft end the class.
Task 4
The sellers offer discounts during promotion period to appeal customers, then after big sales they start to charge to make profits.
In the lecture, the professor uses an example of gym to explain how effective the strategy is. During sales season, members can get free tutoring, but this free policy stops after a month. Surprisingly, most of the customers continue this service and the gym actually increases its customer basis.
Task 5
A girl was in bad mood because she made a vase in ceramic class and was supposed to hand in on Wednesday but unfortunately she broke it into pieces this morning.
Solution 1: glue it together as the pieces are not tiny, but she’s afraid that the professor will discover and give her a low score
Solution 2: make a new one but she has a final test for another course which she really needs to prepare
Task 6
The professor talks about two ways how sea bottom dwellers feed themselves
The first way is active method. For example, sea anemoneQ#) camouflages into plant and parasite on other sea animals and the host will release poisonous chemicals, so sea anemone can prey easily
The second way is passive method. For example, oysters don’t move a lot but wait for tiny organism sent by sea water and waves
