这其实首先考察的是一种快速阅读能力。在雅思阅读考试中，这种能力其实是被细化到了40道题目当中，如何在60分钟内挑出对于答题有帮助的内容精读，说到底就是如何确定题目中能够利用的去文章中找答案的定位词。尤其是针对雅思阅读的一些需要细节理解的题目是不需要全文读的，所以定位词就更显的重要了。

第一类词汇为比较抽象的词汇词，包括opinion, idea, result, information, role, effect, trend, theory等等。

第二类词汇为言语词，包括statement, argument, comment, response, reaction, enquiry, answer等等。

第三类是表示各种文章结构的关系词，如：并列、递进、转折等等

2.对比转折

　　让步词：(中文是虽然+但是， 英文中只有一个)

　　事实：时间，地点，人物
　　列举：quote, cite, mention, talke about?.
　　来证明：to illustrate/show/prove/express/demonstrate/showcase

4. 比较级，最高级

表示“比较级”

　　Wit源自于wisdom，wit智慧

　　Out-名词 = 比较级
　　表示“最”
