柱状图:
The charts below show the number of working hours in industrial sector in four European countries in 2002.
 
 
 
题目分析:
2015年柱状图是考试最热门的小作文类型,热度居高不下,本次的柱状图是四个国家工作时间的静态对比,单个看非常简单,但是数据较多,需要注意分类对比,找出重要的信息来汇报。同时,要注意词汇和句式的多样性和准确性。

范文:
The given bar charts provide an overview of the industrial working time in France, Denmark, Sweden and UK in 2002.
 
In France, more than half of workers worked for 31 -35 hours, accounting for the largest proportion. The percentage of people working for 36 to 40 hours and 46 to 50 hours ranked the second and third place with 30% and 20% respectively.
By contrast, in Demark and Sweden, the majority of people (70% in Danmark,80% in Sweden)worked  for 36 to 40 hours .People working for 31-35 hours and 41 to 45 hours came in the second and third place in these two countries (25% and 12% in Denmark, 35% and 30% in Sweden)
 
Similarly , in UK people working for 36 to 40 hours constituted for the largest proportion with a half. Interestingly, the number of workers increased with the growth of the working hours, except for the proportion of staff working for 36 to 40 hours.
 
To sum up , the average working hours in France was the shortest, while people in Sweden worked the longest hours.

Some people believe that the increasing use of computers and mobile phones for communication has had a negative effect on young peoples reading and writing skills. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Currently, youngsters’ growing dependence on electronic devices like computers and smart phone has drawn public attention. Some people argue that the overuse of electronic devices could pose threat to teenagers’ reading and writing literacy. In my view, whether electronic gadgets are detrimental or beneficial to the young’s reading and writing skills is up to the way how they are utilized. (宾语从句,主语从句,定语从句)
 
It is obviously reasonable for those to maintain the overuse of computers and smart phones could exert negative effect on the youngsters’ reading and writing capacity. Initially, the over reliance on electronic products could in the long run undermine a person’s reading quality and depth. Usually, the information and articles exposed online are cluttered with Internet language, which is featured by abbreviations and informal language which could not be utilized in formal academic settings. Immersed in these fast-food articles and information, youngsters have less time to appreciate high quality books and articles which are of social and academic significance. In this way, their reading proficiencies are degraded. (非谓语,非限制性定语从句,状语从句)
 
Also, the overuse of smart phones and computers could lower students’ grammatical accuracy and independent thinking ability, and thereby impair their writing literacy. As youngsters are passionate about online chatting where they chat with others in Internet lingo ,voice messages or vivid pictures rather than formal and quality language ,they become less aware of the importance of grammar correctness and independent writing skills. However, a part of citizens contend that the growing use of high-tech products could benefit students’ overall academic literacies. They believe the proper utilization of computers and smart phones could actually improve students’ reading capacity by providing a huge online database where they could access numerous useful reading resources . Besides, with the assistance of advanced software, one can not only check the grammatical accuracy of his or herself, but also proofread the articles composed by others easily. In this sense, the appropriate utilization of electronic products could exert a positive influence on the young. (定语从句,方式状语从句,定语从句)
 
To sum up, the influence of the increasing use of computers and smart phones is decided by the exact way how they are used. Over dependency on them could undermine the pupils’ academic literacy, while appropriate and smart utilization could contribute to the development of related skills. (被动,比较句)
