托福学员在掌握了讲座的大致内容后，需要进一步明确托福ETS考官的出题意图和考试思想。本篇文章主要针对托福听力的重点题型——态度题进行深度探讨。

态度题出题形式：

What’s the student’s attitude towards…?

或What’s professor’s opinion of…?

既然是态度题，考的必然是教授的态度或者说是立场，那么教授表态在托福听力中到底是什么样子的呢？

不妨先分享一个留美中经历的事情，在纽约的橄榄球超级联赛中，一个记者采访观众其感受，我的回答是：oh，it’s very good. A very exciting game. 另一个美国本土人则说道：Well, I think it’s super great because I met my favorite singer, Bruno Mars and what’s even better is the Eagle wins the league. You know, they always fight like warriors and unite as a whole. That’s what Eagle fan wanna see!

两种截然不同的回答告诉我们表达立场或者情感要求理由和目的，那么美国大学教授和学生同样会这么表达自己的态度。也就是先表态，再解释！

表态的信号词：interesting, fantastic, great, amazing, strange, surprise等形容词或其名词形式。当听到这类词或其副词形式时，考生需要想：为什么教授或者学生要这么说，后面就是教授或学生的解释。

例题：TPO26 conversation 2

原文重现：

Professor: How was the conference, as you were last weekend?

Student: It’s great! I met a lot of people from some really amazing organizations that work in that area. Not to be a lot easier to get so many students to volunteer in this community. Plus, I’ve never been to beach before. Being to the beach is definitely a plus.

这里请注意great这个词以及之后的amazing，说明学生对这次志愿者活动十分满意，而后面的不容易让这么多学生参与进来，还是在强调这次会议的精彩。所以答案选择it convinces many students to volunteer.

例题：TPO9 lecture 3

原文重现：

Interestingly, there were clan and snail shell but no fossils of fish. We’re not sure why. Maybe it has something to do with water. Maybe water is too salty. That’s certainly true of other desert lakes.

本文中先用interestingly定位，提示考生态度题出现。之后认真听后面的解释，干涸的湖底没有鱼的化石，或许是因为水过于咸。所以选择C选项：water is not suitable. 很多学生反驳道：这个题目的题干没有出现attitude或opinion的词啊，诚然如此，但这个细节题是由态度题引发的。

另外一种形式是教授会以“I”开头引出态度。

例题：TPO16 biology lecture 4

原文重现：

I would’ve thought the farther it goes, the larger wood it would bring back. That would make sense, right? If you travel a long distance, you have to make your trip worth it. But the opposite is true.

以“我”开始，很明显的教授态度，然后教授用这种想法引起共鸣，然后再用but转折给出正确的解释，就是说海獭并不是我们想象中的，而是越近的地方拉回大的木头，远的地方而是小木头。为了节省能量。而重听题就是要告诉我们教授的解释是错的。

同样的题目出现在TPO24 lecture1 crocodile vocalization

Last week, one TV program shows. Anyone catches it? Some interesting hit bits but you have to be careful. Some contents I think don’t show where they are experts.

教授对电视节目的内容持保守态度，也是用I think解释的。所以态度信号词是托福考官考察的一个重要的托福思想，考生一定要把这类信号词总结和整理，然后对应TPO的题目进行强化训练，体会其出题思路，方可在听力中稳操胜卷。
