Q1:What's your favourite food?
A1:I love noodles very much. Be it chew mein, rice noodle, spaghetti, ramen or pad thai, I kind of have a craving for this kind of food.I just wanna have’em every day if not for every meal
Q2:Have foreign cultures had an effect on the kinds of food that people in China eat today?
A2:Definitely.It seems that now Chinese people get quite interested in western styles of food, such as Italian food, like pasta, Japanese ones like sushi, Spanish like paella, etc.
Q3:What types of food do children generally like to eat?
A3:Well, I guess most kids prefer to have something that tastes sweet, creamy, or juicy, while looks nice and colourful.That is why chocolates, toffee and marshmallows are so popular with almost all children.
Q4:Do you know how to make (prepare) a meal?
A4:Well, I do know something about cooking, but I have to admit that I’m not very good at it.I mean, I can do peeling, chopping and slicing pretty well—holding a kitchen knife is never a problem for me– but I’m afraid that’s all I can do.I’ve tried stir-frying several times but never succeeded. The food was either undercooked or overcooked.
Q5:Do you know how to make (prepare) a meal?
A5:Yes, actually I’m really good at this.I just enjoy the process very much, you know, from choosing vegetables and fruits in an open market or meat at the local butcher’s, to cooking and serving the dishes and beverages…Everything makes me concentrated and that feels really good.
Q6:What kinds of machine are used for cooking in modern homes in your country?
A6:Common types of kitchen appliances in China include,electric food steamer, microwave oven, induction cooktop, pressure cooker, electric rice cooker, etc. These machines make cooking easier than ever.
