Sample answer
I’d like to talk about the longest journey I’ve ever had abroad, and, alone. It was in 2009, when I just finished writing my dissertation. After three months of hard work, the only thing I wanted to do was to relax myself. And I just couldn’t think of a better way to treat myself than traveling around the European continent. I selected 4 places to visit, namely, Spain, Czech Republic, Germany and Sweden. And my journey lasted 30 days. I departed from Birmingham International Airport of the UK, and it took me about 2 hours to arrive in Frankfurt of Germany. And then in the next five days I visited Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, and Hamburg. This time I took train to travel from one city to another cus it was not relatively cheap.
And then I went to Prague, capital of Czech Republic by air. I was really excited cus I’d always been dreaming of traveling around the city, which is just porridge thick of cultural attractions. There I visited some historic sites like the Prague castles and the Charles Bridge, and a number o museums and galleries. And 8 days later, I took a flight to Norway, where I stayed for 6 days. I was deeply impressed with the kindness and warmth of the people there. No matter where I went, I could always see smile in their faces. And the smile was just genuine and, I believe, right from one’s heart. And my last stop was Spain, where I visited Barcelona, Madrid, and Sierra Nevada. I was not only stunned by the spectabular architectures such as El Alhambra and Sagrada Familia, but also amazed by the local cuisine like tapas and paella. And after 7 days, I just came back to the UK.
