Sample answer
Last summer holiday, my friends and I went to jiuzhaigou Valley, a nature reserve and national park in Southwest China. Unlike most other scenic spots in China, the Valley was a little bit difficult to access. It took us 14 hours to get there—8hours by train and 6 hours by coach. But it was well worth the time and effort cus the scenery there was incredibly beautiful.
Actually the Jiuzhaigou Valley is known for its various bodies of water, like rivers, brooks, waterfalls, lakes, ponds, pools, etc., which we explored a lot. One of the typical views there was that, waterfalls falling down from the top of the cliffs and turning into running brooks, and they just joined together to form a river. By the riverside, quite often, we found wild orchids and wild lilies blooming, waving in the gentle breeze. Lakes were also beautiful, yet it seemed that they’re more tranquil. The water was just crystal clear and it mirrored everything from the sky above, the trees around, to swans and wild ducks sliding on the surface of the lake. We took quite a lot of pictures, but the real scenery was a hundred time more amazing. I hope I can go there again this summer.
