Q1.What do you think are the advantages of buying things form shops rather than markets?
A1.I guess the biggest advantage lies in the multiple services that shops offer. Customers no longer drive all over town for different items they need coz a single shopping mall will provide them all within one location. They could never expect this from markets, which mostly focus on a certain type of products and provide only limited services.
Q2.How does advertising influence what people choose to buy?
a2.Usually the first step is to ensure a high rate of exposure of a certain product or brand so that more people will notice it. Slogans and jingles are often used at this stage as they’re simple in form and easy to follow.
Then more emphasis will be laid on convincing the audience of its good quality and creating a positive image, so celebrities are sometimes involved to endorse the brand.
Q3.Do you think that any recent changes in the way people live have affected general shopping habits? Why is this?
A3. I do think so. Nowadays huge numbers of people tend to shop online thanks to the variety of services as well as products available. It’s just wonderful to get all the things you need sent to your door with simply a few clicks.
