【教师原创】托福听力重听题解析

一、 “望文生义”的短语：

托福听力中有一些很地道的口语表达，例如：I hear you;You said it;You can say that again等等 这些都表示我同意的意思，但有时这类口语表达并非他的字面意思，需要结合上下文来进行推测。例如：TPO3-L1考到了“it is goes without saying ”(不用说，不言而喻），往往这类口语表达同学们都不太熟悉，所以要根据下文内容来判断 “ but the opposite is true as well, plants depend on humming birds too.There are some flowers that can only be pollinated by the humming birds. Without its stopping to feed and spread pollen from flower to flower, these plants would cease to exist.”因此，作者并非“真的没有叙述”“plants depend on humming birds”。（很多同学把“it is goes without saying ”直接理解成不用说）

相比之下，TPO21-C2就比较典型了。但因为上文连读难度较大，此题正确率不高。

重听题：

Why does the professor say this：（Ok, Ok. I hear you.）
A. To convey understanding that the woman finds those subjects boring.
B. To acknowledge that those subjects are too difficult for many high school students.
C. To acknowledge that he has heard the same complaint from other students about those subjects.
D. To assure her that those subjects are taught more effectively at the college level.

解析：答案选A。学生说他高中都一直忍受着这两门课，上课几乎都在睡着，因此，“I hear you”在这里表示赞同，理解的意思。重听题原文如下：

二、原句意思不完整或有省略现象出现：

TPO25-L2 重听题原文如下：

Glissando is, well, I've got a recording of Bartok here. Let's wait until the music is fresh in our minds.

教授想解释Glissando的定义，但欲言又止，提出让同学们先听一段录音，切身体会一下，再进一步解释。

三、听力中出现情感信号词或者表达明显态度的词（往往语调和重音会比较明显）

TPO25-L3 中重听题考到“Strangely though, he gave into the dominant thesis of the day that hieroglyphs were pictographs.” “奇怪的是”，一方面是态度信号词，一方面表转折关系。都值得同学们注意。一开始说Thomas Yang 对于Rosetta stone 的破解做出了很大贡献，话锋一转，开始说他之后又向主流的观点屈服了。
