托福口语预测题目：Task 5

女生去德国一个小地方study abroad ,但机票太贵了，买不起。
方案一是告诉组织的人自己会晚到， 晚一周去，可以买到便宜的机票，因为week days 的机票更便宜，但是那样就会错过第一个周末的orientation， 但那样女生觉得很可惜，错过了认识大家的机会。第二是买到柏林的机票再转火车bus 等其他交通工具，这样会便宜，可是因为她没去过德国有可能会迷路。

托福口语预测Task 5高分答案：

The woman in the conversation is planning to study abroad in Germany but the plane ticket is too expensive. She can either buy a weekday ticket or buy a ticket to Berlin and then take the train to the city where the school is located.
In my opinion, it’s better for the woman to buy a weekday ticket.
First, if she flies to Berlin first and then transfers by train, she might get lost on her way and be delayed for the orientation anyway. In this case, she’ll be under a lot of stress and there might not be anyone who’ll be able to help her, which is too risky for a young college girl.
On the other hand, if she can fly there on Monday, she will be able to save a lot of money on the plane ticket and feel more relaxed when she gets there. She’ll be more open to the new people and culture there, which is the whole point of this trip.
Therefore, I think the woman should book a weekday ticket.
