Talking about a change that will improve my local area, I think I will go with thesubway construction in my hometown.
Due to the soaring number of private cars, the roads traffic has been overloaded for a long time. It is quite common to get stuck on the road for long hours during peak time. That’s why local people are also thrilled at the news of subway construction. Admittedly, there will be problems associated with such a massive project, such as the short-term inconvenience on the road during construction; the noise and the changing in routine bus route. However, the advantages will definitely outweigh the disadvantages. Subways are fast and of huge capacity. It will significantly shorten the commute time when the constructions are completed. For people living in the suburb, it will undoubtedly improve the satisfaction for life. When it is finished, the railways station and the airport will be connected together, which will benefit people who travel a lot. Having a subway extending in all directions will obsoletely elevate city image and attract more visitors.
