2016年1月雅思写作机经回忆

2016年1月9日的雅思写作考试采取了A卷和B卷的形式。分别是静态的柱和动态的表格。我们先来看一下1月9日的考试回顾。

A卷：小作文：表格描述八个国家平均每千人的摩托车拥有量
　　大作文：The government money should be invested in teaching science rather than other subjects so as to help a country make progress and develop. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

B卷：小作文：柱图
　　大作文：现在的国家间区别越来越小，多大程度上劣势大于优势?
　　Difference between countries are becoming less evident recently. People can see the same films, brands, fashion, advertisements and TV channels. To what extent do advantage outweigh the disadvantage?
　　由于A卷的小作文回顾太少，没有具体的数值。我们拿Ｂ卷的静态的柱图来分析一下今年的考题方向和难度。

The bar chart shows the percentage of students who participate in the sports outside school hours

　　Illustrated in the bar chart is the percentage of sports in outdoor school hours in terms of different genders.
　　As can be seen from the bar chart, boys prefer to play football after class than doing other kinds of sports, with the figure standing at 20%, which is approximately twice larger than the percentage of hours spent on playing basketball. The second favorite afterschool sport for boys is swimming, the figure of which is around 13%. However, among the three listed ball games, netball is least liked by boys, and only 3% of hours are spent on this game. Generally, the amount of boys who did no sport is quite small due to the fact that only 4% of hours are spent on doing no sports at all.
　　In contrast, as for the girls, the most obvious gap is observed in netball, where girls account for 18 percent of the outside school hours, which was almost six times larger than the figures for the boys. In terms of swimming, girls also show more preference than boys, with the percentage 16 of the former. However, when it comes to the other three categories of sport, these actually attracts more attention from boys than girls. And the hours spent on playing football and the basketball are 4% (being the least) and 7% respectively.
In conclusion, girls and boys have different preferences on different sports and swimming is comparatively welcomed by both genders.

　　Difference between countries are becoming less evident recently. People can see the same films, brands, fashion, advertisements and TV channels. To what extent do disadvantage outweigh advantages?

With the rapid pace of globalization, people in the countries all over the world are becoming more closely interconnected than before. The whole world is becoming ‘one big village’ since people are sharing the various information such as films, brands, fashion, music and advertisements more frequently.

There is no doubt that this phenomenon has brought tremendous benefit for the world. For one thing, it provides more choices of products for people, which may diversify and bring more convenienceto their daily lives. It is true that people have easier access to the goods both from home and abroad. Therefore, when choosing the products, consumers can make comparison and choose their most desirable ones. What is more,the less difference there is between the countries, the deeper mutual understanding can be achieved. During the cultural exchange and integration, people are becoming more broad-mined and tolerant to the exotic culture, which can facilitate the cultural assimilation and avoid the cultural conflictions. Evidence can be seen in the case that Chinese people are gradually understanding the ‘American Dream’ and the customs of the Americans through the frequent business transaction and cultural communication.

However, never can we say that there is no detrimental influences once things are shared across the globe. Some people may claim this process will be damaging to the global diversity.Taking the popularity of Iphone all over the world as an example, a majority of people just trying to buy this product aiming at following the ‘international’ trend rather than in need of this product. Consequently, the equivalent products have been totally outshined by Iphone, which suffers from great economic loss. In addition, local people, who are immersed with the novel ideas, may gradually abandon their traditional values or ways of life, which may trigger the identity crisis in the long run.

Overall, since globalization and cultural integration is an irreversible trend, governments or social groups should try to absorb the essence and discard the dross, taking opportunity to boost the economic growth and cultural flourish.
