1.Today many people are afraid to leave their homes because of crime. Some people think that more actions should be taken to prevent crime. Others believe that little can be done about that. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

　　A.Little can be done about that: the widening gap between the rich and the poor – resort to steal or rob in order to support their living // take anti-social actions for venting off their dissatisfaction – hard to reverse the social problem
　　B.More actions can be taken: upgrade police-force(better-trained and better-equipped); give criminals longer prison terms as a deterrent; long-term approach: narrow the gap between the rich and the poor (create more job opportunities and offer professional training courses; provide government-funded houses and public schools)

2.The spread of multinational companies and the resulting increase of globalization bring positive effects to everyone. To what extent do you agree?
