雅思阅读题型讲解之二 ——句子填空

回忆一下我们之前讲过的内容，我们已经对阅读需要用到的语法基础知识，以及雅思做题需要的基础——找定位词，有了了解，接下来终于可以把这些知识真正的应用到具体的题目上了呢！鼓掌！！

那么接下来就让我们来看看雅思阅读的第一大类题型——填空，当中的第一小类——句子填空题。

句子填空

首先，让我们来看看句子填空题是长啥样的：

Complete the sentences.

Choose NO MORE THAN THREE WORDS from the passage for each answer.

Write your answer in boxes 34-40 on your answer sheet.

34. Day length is a useful cue for breeding in areas where __________ are unpredictable.

NO.1————请注意斜体字部分——NO MORE THAN THREE WORDS。

每一道填空题的题干里都能够找到类似的字数要求，他的意思是，每个空格中的答案都是有字数限制的，在这道题中，每个空格的字数绝对不可超过3个。

NO.2————请注意字数要求后面的“from the passage”，这意味着雅思填空题并不同于我们平时在英语考试中碰到的考察我们语法或者词汇的填空，雅思填空的答案是来自于文章中的原文的，换句话来说，他不需要我们“自由发挥”。

Ok！注意事项完成之后，具体要怎么做呢？

判断答案所在原文

以这道题为例，首先，当然是大家早就已经猜到的——找合适的定位词。（顺便还可以复习一下哦~~）

34. Day length is a useful cue for breeding in areas where __________ are unpredictable.

这道题中，最细节最unique的那个词显然是breeding，于是通过这个词我们找到了包含定位词的原文段落：

Breeding in most organisms occurs during a part of the year only, and so a reliable cue is needed to trigger breeding behavior. Day length is an excellent cue, because it provides a perfectly predictable pattern of change within the year. In the temperate zone in spring, temperatures fluctuate greatly from day to day, but day length increases steadily by a predictable amount.

等等~然而除了这里之外还有一个地方也出现了breeding:

Breeding seasons in animals such as birds have evolved to occupy the part of the year in which offspring have the greatest chances of survival. Before the breeding season begins, food reserves must be built up to support the energy cost of reproduction, and to provide for young birds both when they are in the nest and after fledging.

哎呀~~~这可咋办？两处都有breeding，到底哪个句子才是答案所在呢？

大家肯定都知道，雅思的填空题的句子是原文中某个句子，以相同的意思但不同的形式出现的，既然是这样，那么肯定可以在原文中找到和题目句子一样的部分，对了，就是传说中的——同意替换。

那就让我们来看一下，哪里有和题目意义一样的短语和词汇吧。

第一处不仅出现了题目中的“day length”，还出现了“cue”（根本是一模一样的词好么。。。），除此之外，还恰恰好出现了unpredictable的反义词——“unpredictable”。

而第二处，除了breeding以外，根本没有同样意思的词汇和短语出现。

结果显而易见——第一处原文才会有我们需要找的答案词！

判断哪个句子才是题目对应的原文：

原文1：

Breeding seasons in animals such as birds have evolved to occupy the part of the year in which offspring have the greatest chances of survival.

原文2：
