Because my car was broken; I was late this morning.

The upperclassmen are permitted off-campus lunch. The underclassmen must remain on campus. The upperclassmen are permitted off-campus lunch; the underclassmen must remain on campus.

The upperclassmen are permitted off-campus lunch; but the underclassmen must remain on campus.

即不不 用于and, but, or, nor, for, yet ,so之前——那 里是 “,” 的位置。

The upperclassmen are permitted off-campus lunch; however, the underclassmen must remain on campus.

Luggage, housewares, and electronics are on the ground floor, men’s and women’s clothing on the second floor, and books, music, and stationery on the third floor.

Luggage, housewares, and electronics are on the ground floor; men’s and women’s clothing on the second floor; and books, music, and stationery on the third floor.
