雅思阅读摘要类填空题讲解

雅思阅读摘要类填空题是雅思阅读中较难的一类填空题型，是对文章的一段或者某几段的归纳总结而出题，整体出题为顺序性原则，重点考察学生的定位能力，修饰关系和同义替换能力等的把握，今日我们就剑11的T2P2中的一篇摘要类填空题进行讲解，希望在之后的学习中对同学们有所帮助。
 

Jared Diamond’s View

Diamond believes that the Polynesian settlers on Rapa Nui destroyed its forests, cutting down its trees for fuel and clearing land for 8______.Twentieth-century discoveries of pollen prove that Rapu Nui had once been covered in palm forests, which had turned into grassland by the time the Europeans arrived on the island.

When the islanders were no longer able to build the 9______they needed to go fishing, they began using the island's 10_______as a food source, according to Diamond. Diamond also claims that the moai were built to show the power of the island's chieftains, and that

the methods of transporting the statues needed not only a great number of people, but also a great deal of 11_______.

在做题之前我们首先要读题干，即范围限制和字数要求，此题题干one word only，因此所填答案不能超过一个字。

接着我们读题干标题，文章标题为Jared Diamond的观点，可以帮助我们锁定该摘要所出的大范围，应是集中陈述Jared Diamond观点的段落，即为文章的第二、三段。接着我们判断空格处应填词性，第八题在for 之后应为名词，同时结合我们的并列逻辑关系，该空格处所填词汇应与前面的for fuel中fuel 并列。因此我们可以去文中寻找提及Jared Diamond的段落进行粗定位，接着根据并列逻辑关系找到fuel的同义词进行细定位，从而锁定与其并列的即为答案。

因此我们在文中找到了 firewood and farming，firewood柴火即与fuel燃料同义替换，因此farming即为我们的答案。第九题根据空格前面的the我们判定为名词，而后又跟了一个省略that的定语从句they needed to go fishing来修饰空格处内容，因此根据顺序性原则，我们往下找被fish所修饰的词即为我们的答案，因此我们看到了第二段后面canoes for fishing，canoes即为我们所寻答案。第十题根据所有格我们依旧判定应填名词，同时use…as food resource判定应为可食之物，因此该题答案应为动物或者植物类，我们继续往下读看到they ate birds，而birds即为动物，同时ate吃和food即为同义替换。最后看十一题，首先判定a great deal of之后该地该填不可数名词或者名词复数，同时注意并列逻辑关系， not only …but also，该词应和people 并列，可以拿people进行定位，同时注意一下people可能以men，human等同义替换出现，定位到C段a lot of wood and a lot of people，因此该题应选wood。
