上篇文章中我们总结了四组雅思常考同义转换，今天我们继续给大家总结补充阅读中常考的同义转换词汇。

一：相似的，相同的

similar, alike, resemble, same, identical, still,  equally, twin

alike (a.): 相似的，相像的

E.g. The two versions of the text are alike in many ways.

这篇课文的两个版本在许多方面是相似的。

resemble (v.): 看起来像

E.g. Soldiers are trained under conditions that closely resemble real combat.

士兵们训练的情况下,像是真正的战斗。

identical (a.): 完全一样的

E.g. This house is almost identical to the one where I lived as a child.

这房子跟我小时候住的地方一模一样。

still: 仍然 这个词放在这里大家不要觉得很奇怪，大家想想看，如果两句话用still相连接，是不是表示两句话当中肯定有相同的事情发生呢？例：十多年过去了，我仍然……后半句话我没有写完，但相信大家都能看出我在十年后肯定有和十年前相同的地方。所以still是same的相关词

twin (n./v./a.): 双胞胎，相当于，和…一样

E.g. Chichester in England is twinned with Chartres in France.

英国的奇切斯特相当于法国的沙特尔。

二：重要的,必要的,必不可少的，关键的，有意义的，

important, significant, critical, momentous, vital, essential, crucial, necessary, key, pivotal, chief, principal, leading

这组词不仅在阅读中很重要，在写作中也尤为值得一提，这组词直接的或者间接的都表示重要的意思。

significant (a. ): 重大的，有意义的

E.g. Volunteer tutoring programs can have a significant impact on student achievement.

志愿者辅导计划可以在学生的成就产生重大影响。

significant还可以表示变化很大或者大量的意思：

E.g. A significant number of drivers still refuse to wear seat belts.

相当多的司机仍然拒绝系安全带。

critical (a.): 至关重要的，危及的

E.g. Foreign trade is of critical importance to the economy.

对外贸易对经济至关重要。

momentous(a. ): 有意义的

E.g. The revolution taking place in Eastern Europe must be counted as one of the most momentous events of this century.

革命发生在东欧必须算作这个世纪最重大的事件之一。

vital (a.): 至关重要的

E.g. Regular exercise is vital for your health.

经常锻炼对你的健康是至关重要的。

E.g. The tourist industry is of vital importance to the national economy. (of vital importance= very important)

旅游业对国民经济至关重要。

vital signs: 生命特征（判断一个人是否还活着，例如心跳，体温等）

三：紧急的，迫不及待的,临近的

urgent, pressing, crucial, critical, immediate, emergent,

pressing(a.):紧迫的，迫切的

 E.g. Poverty is a more pressing problem than pollution.

贫困是一个比污染更紧迫的问题。

immediate (a. ): 急切的，迫切的，接近/临近的（这个词条非常常用，特别是后面接地点的时候，基本上都是表示接近和靠近的意思）

E.g. It is a thriving shopping centre for the people who live in the immediate (=local) area.

对附近的人来说这儿是一个繁华的购物中心。

immediate family: 直系亲属（父母， 子女，兄弟姐妹等）

大家需要注意，寻找同义转换不是找两个一模一样意思的词的对应，英语单词中，很少有意思一模一样的单词，找的更多的是近义词和同义表达转述。大家做题的过程中一定要知道总结同义转换的意义，多总结思考，培养自己对同义转换的敏感程度，提升自己的阅读速度和做题准确率。
