通过词典的解释，我们可以看出paraphrase的两个要求，一是使用不同的词句表达意思，二是使意思更加清淅。所以在雅思口语考试中，我们如果想要在词汇部分取得高分， 则需要学会用不同的句式和词汇来将自己的意思解释得更加清晰明白。
接下来，我们就来看一下如何在口语考试中使用paraphrase来进行加分表达。
一．同义词转换题目
很多考生在回答雅思口语考官所问题的时候，基本都会把考官所用的词说出来，但如果我们只是复述考官的问题词句，则很难体现我们的词汇使用能力。所以，我们可以把考官所问题中的词，使用另一个同义词做一个更改和转述。
比如雅思口语中常见的一类疑问句类型，”Do you like ...?”，我们在回答时，可以把”Yes, I like ...”中的like改成be into sth, be fond of等词汇进行转述。

我们在考试时会遇到碰到想说，却一时间找不到或根本不知道正确的词语，这时候就考验 paraphrase 的功夫了，在这个时候，我们可以把这个词语用自己的话解释一下。
举一个简单的例子，比如我们想说”It is efficient.”，efficient这个词的意思表示效率很高。如果我们想要使用paraphrase来丰富这个内容，我们可以使用自己的话对这个词语解释进行解释，在这里我们可以把efficient解释为为花费时间很少，因此，这句话可以改为”it takes less time. ”在这里，我们可以使用以下几个词组进行连接，I mean / By this I mean / In other words。例如”It is efficient, by this I mean it takes less time.”
