那些你经常注意不到的语法问题

 由于中英文文的语言语言差异，英文注重形合，其名词有单复数变化，动词有单三以及时态的变化等，这是学生在输出英文时经常注意不到的语法问题。在教学与批改作业过程中，会看到学生在主谓一致、词性以及名词单复数上面出现问题，那么以下就整理了这三方面要注意的问题。

主谓一致

主谓一致即谓语动词在人称和数上要和主语保持一致，主语是第三人称单数时，谓语部分使用单三。

1. 不可数名词作主语，谓语部分用单数；

Too much time is spent discussing tangential issues.

在这个例子中，“time”是不可数名词，即使主语是“Too much time”,谓语部分依然使用单数。

动名词和主语从句作主语，表示一件事情，谓语部分用单数；

Protecting animals is not a waste of resources.

What should we do to solve environmental problems in the future is discussed.在以上两个例子中，“Protecting animals”和“What should we do to solve environmental problems in the future”分别是动名词和主语从句作了主语，虽然主语成分中有出现可数名词的复数形式，但是主语整体上表示一件事情，所以谓语部分用作单数。

of表示所属格作主语，谓语部分单复数取决于of前面的主语单复数；

The aim of some exhibitions is to teach visitors something that they did not previously know.

在这个例子中，“The aim of some exhibitions”作主语，谓语单复数由“The aim”决定，因为“of some exhibitions”为定语部分，是对“The aim”进行修饰的。 

词性

我们一起来看两个句子：“服务业发展很快The service industry develops rapidly”，“中国的发展在一定程度上得益于大量的劳动力To some extent, China's development benefits from a large number of labor forces”，在两个例子中，“发展”分别充当了动词和名词，在中文写法都是一样的，但在英文中，动词“发展”译为“develop”，名词“发展”译为“development”。所以，输出英文时，我们需要尤其注意单词的词性。以下给出三个例子，我们一起来分析一下其中涉及到的词性错误。

Pollution will effect the citizens' living standards negative.

这个句子中，“will”后面应该跟动词原形，而“effect”表示“影响”时，为名词，所以应该为动词“affect”；修饰动词“affect”，应使用副词“negatively”，而不是形容词“negative”。

There was a considerably growth in the amount of people becoming UK citizens from 1962 to 2002.

修饰名词应该使用形容词，所以这个句子中，表达“巨大的增长”，应使用形容词“considerable”，而不是副词。

Sitting in front of the screen for a long time will pose a threat to children's healthy.

例子中，“孩子从健康”，这里的“健康”应该使用名词形式“health”。

名词单复数

不可数名词没有复数形式，单数可数名词有单复数的变化，所以使用可数名词时，我们要尤其注意其单复数形式。

可数名词不单独使用，前面加a/an/the或写成复数形式。

比如在表示“学历高的毕业生相对比较容易找到满意的工作”这句话时，“毕业生”和“工作”都是可数名词，不能单独使用，这里没有泛指一个学生，也没有特指这个学生，不适合在前面加“a/an/the”，所以应使用“graduate”和“job”的复数形式，因此整句话的英文为“Graduates with high education background are relatively easy to find satisfactory jobs”。

当Some/more/different后面加可数名词时，应写成其复数形式，即“Some/more/different+可数名词复数”，例如：

Music also has the ability to connect people from different generations.

There are some strong arguments against the setting of homework.

当表示“......的其中之一”时，英文为“one of +可数名词复数”，例如：

One of the factors affecting students 'learning in science is their existing knowledge prior to instruction.

以上主谓一致、词性和名词单复数是写作时学生会经常出现的语法错误，我们在输出英文时，尤其要注意的基本语法错误，要保证不出错。
