盘点那些在写作中常被用错的表达，你中招了没？
1. On the one hand, On the other hand 一方面…，另一方面…
这是很多同学在写作中会用错的一个表达。虽然在中文中既可以表示并列递进又可以表示转折，but！！！在英文中它真的不表并列递进！它只能表示转折！转折！转折！
错误用法：
On the one hand, I firmly believe that reading can increase our knowledge. On the other hand, reading helps us calm down when we feel upset.
一方面，我坚信阅读能增加我们的知识。另一方面，当我们感到沮丧时，阅读帮助我们平静下来。
正确用法：
On the one hand, teachers impose what they believe is right on students. On the other hand, the juveniles always go against the teacher’s requirement with a rebellious heart.
一方面，老师把他们认为正确的东西强加给学生。另一方面，青少年总是怀着叛逆的心违背老师的要求。
如果想表达递进的两方面，可以换成for one thing…, for another…
2. affect vs effect
很多同学对这两个词傻傻分不清，经常混用，这可是万万不可滴！
Affect是及物动词，表示改变或影响某物或某人ffect 通常作名词，表示影响，强调结果。
错误用法：
The warming of the Earth and the consequent climatic changes effect us all. 全球变暖以及随之而来的气候变化影响我们每个人。
COVID-19 had a negative affect on the economy. 新冠肺炎对经济造成了负面的影响。
正确用法：
The warming of the Earth and the consequent climatic changes affect us all. 全球变暖以及随之而来的气候变化影响我们每个人。
COVID-19 had a negative effect on the economy. 新冠肺炎对经济造成了负面的影响。
3. however
However 同学们都很熟悉，表示转折关系，意思是“然而，可是”, 但使用起来是非常灵活的, 可位于句首，句中和句尾(非正式表达)，同学们要注意标点的使用。
1) 当however位于句首时，其后要加逗号。
2) 当 however 位于句中时，通常用于主语或be动词之后或实义动词前，使用逗号隔开。
It is, however, necessary on occasion to work outwith these hours.
这也是however与but的不同之处，but只能用于句首并且不需要逗号隔开。
4. as well as 也； 和……一样
as well as用于连接两个并列成分，却常常被误用于连接三个或三个以上的成分。在连接三个或三个以上成分时，用and就可以了。
错误用法：He plays classical music, pop as well as jazz.
正确用法：He plays classical music, as well as pop and jazz.
