新通外语：雅思口语“数学” 话题难点解析

随着2013年的到来，雅思口语考试也换上了新年喜气的衣裳，生机昂然的步入新的一年，从今年1月、2月出现的新话题大家也可以显而易见的发现这种变化，尤其是一堂数学课程，植物、小时候的游戏、秀、表演等话题。但是这些充满活力和快乐的话题，却很难让大多数的烤鸭们excited, 相反，给烤鸭们带来的是打击和挫败感。因为这些话题的专向性太强，需要烤鸭们拥有丰富且地道的词汇。

可能很多烤鸭们对于数学相关的一些运算，计算方法的英文名称都不熟悉，而要描述2分钟就更是难上加难了。但是雅思口语考试并不会同情大家，从1-3月的几场口语考试来看，这个话题的出现频率是非常高的，相信这个新题在短时间不会失去考官的宠爱。

所以，为了给各位在雅思口语考试第一战线上努力奋战的烤鸭们提供非常有帮助和价值的一手资料，本文中，笔者将对该话题进行分析和说明，希望烤鸭们都能够得到自己理想的分数。

最近考的常见数学卡片题为：

Describe a math class you ever had before

在备考时我们首先要掌握的就是一些相关的词汇 Relevant words:

接下来2分钟的描述过程中我们需要注意的首先就是时态，其次就是逻辑上的表达以及语法层面上的要求--被动语态，复杂句型，比较等。

When and where you took it

When I was in middle school I had a great passion for studying mathematics, which I thought was the most practical and fascinating subject we studied. Andthe class which left me a deep impression is the one when I first got to know about the arithmetic.

What kind of things did you learn

In the first semester, our math teacher made an explanation about square roots, telling us that every positive number had two square roots, one waspositive, the other was negative. Well, this was something totally novel to us since what we learned in primary school was how to add, divide, multiply and subtract.

How was the atmosphere

So, every student listened with respectful attention and there were no other sounds except from teacher.

Plus, my math teacher was extremely good. He made the class very lively and managed to keep our attention throughout the class.

And explain your feeling about this math class

In short, I guess it’s quite essential to learn about mathematics since it is used by almost everyone, for tasks ranging from simple day-to-day counting to advanced science and business calculations. Basically speaking，We would be trapped into troubles if we could not do the basic mathematical operation.
