大学阶段是一个大浪淘沙的过程，成绩差的学生被淘汰出去，外校的好学生被吸收进来。因此，很多学生为了保证能够申请成功，先选择比较保险的学校，到了美国之后，再转学到向往的大学。

It will not be easier to apply as a liberal arts major and I am going to assume that you mean humanities or social science major, because the university that you apply to as a transfer student is going to question why you are applying as that new major.
我不认为申请文科类专业会更容易，因为学校会想要知道，你为什么要在转学的时候换专业。
You need to have the course work and extracurricular activities to support or justify a major in whatever the humanities or social science major is that you are trying to declare at your transfer institution.
你需要有相应的课程或者课外活动来佐证你想要换专业这件事情。
It’s likely that they are going to look into your application and see that you are a science student, and that you have all those course work and extracurricular activities aligned with your interest in the sciences, and they are going to question and be skeptical why you are applying to this humanities or social science major. And that quite possibly could lead to a rejection.
他们会看你的申请材料，然后发现你是一个理科生，而且你所有的课程和以前做过的课外活动也都是体现你在理科方面的兴趣的，他们就会想要知道或者怀疑，你申请文科专业的真正动机，这种情况下你很可能收到学校的拒信。 >>美国留学申请在线咨询
It’s best to apply to the major that you want to study, and assuming that you do so, you have done well in that major, and you have activities that are aligned with that academic area, and you have strong letters of recommendation from faculty supporting you in that major. And you have activities in your resume that really reflect your interest and your experiences in that major.
所以在转学中最好的申请策略还是在转学中申请自己真正想要学习的专业（一般都是现在正在学习的专业），所以这一点，再加上你在这个专业领域的卓越表现，丰富的活动，强有力的推荐信，和一个可以准确展现你的经历的简历。
So it is best to stick to what you have done and what you are excited about when you are applying as a transfer, unless you genuinely are interested in a different major because maybe you are finished with the sciences and you really don’t want to be a science student anymore. If that’s the case, you are going to need to justify that and tell the story of why that new major is right for you, and hopefully have some experiences that would justify your interest in the new major.
所以你在转学申请中一定要选择自己喜欢的专业来申请，而如果这个专业和你现在的专业不同，比如你真的学够理科了，再也不想学理了，那么你就要在申请中把你的转专业理由说清楚，但是更重要的是你需要有相应的一些经历来证明你的论点。

Q7. I have transferred once during my freshman year, however, now I want to transfer again during my sophomore year because I do not like the current university as well. Yes, it is probably going to make it harder to transfer again during your sophomore year, if you have already transferred once.

US universities look for students who are going to stay on campus, be a contributing member of their student body, and you know, be committed to their institution. If you have already transferred once before, they might be skeptical or concerned about you staying on their campus for good. They might wonder what would prevent you from then wanting to transfer again to another even higher ranked institution.
美国大学希望招收可以长久待在他们学校，并且可以对学校这个小社会做出贡献的学生。如果你之前都已经转过一次学了，那么他们可能会比较介意。他们可能回想，你转过来以后，是不是又想要转走？
That’s not to say that you cannot transfer again, but it will make the process a little bit harder. One of the things that they really look for in the transfer application is the story about why you want to transfer. What does your current institution lack that their institution has that you are looking for and hoping to gain from transferring. Maybe it is a major, or a club, or a setting, that you want that your current institution doesn’t have.

They will wonder how you ended up at that institution as a transfer, and they will be very concerned and read into your story quite a bit to make sure that you are making the right decision this time about wanting to transfer to their institution.
他们会想要知道为什么你当初选择了你现在的学校转学过来，然后他们会非常细致地阅读你给他们说的转学理由，看看你是不是真的特别想转学到他们的学校来，而且不会再走了。
It’s also going to likely prevent you from having good letters of recommendation at your current university and having good grades. It is hard to adjust to your academic environment and do well in courses if you just got there, so that’s something to keep in mind as well.
同时，在你这种情况下，很可能你也很难得到好的推荐信和好的在校成绩，因为你刚刚来到这个新的学校不久，各方面都在适应调节的过程中。所以这一点，你也要注意。
A lot of undergraduate students in this situation I think might benefit from sticking it out at their current institution, and thinking about that other possible third campus that they want to apply to as a transfer for graduate school. If it is something that you want to go to because it is ranked higher, then maybe you could apply there for a graduate school instead of transferring for the second time.
对于同样处在这种情况下的学生来说，我其实比较建议不转学，而选择继续呆在自己现在所在的学校学习，然后考虑一下你最想转去的学校是哪所，那么你可以在研究生阶段的时候，申请这个学校的研究生。这样的安排会更加合理一点。
