GUR一共使用了使用了5项指标进行参考：
1.教育的课程内容及质量；
2.管理层员工；
3.科学研究及应用程度；
4.国际兼容性；
5.大学校友的就业状况。
根据这5个指标，于是就诞生了10所世界最完美的大学，别说，还真没有牛津和剑桥。实际上，这10所大学中的8所，都来自于美国。
