1878年建校的时候招收33名学生。作为美国最古老的男女合校之一，米勒中学于1884年开始招收女生。2008-2009学年时米勒成立131周年，从弗吉尼亚州、美国其它各州以及世界各地招收了约150名学生。学校位于弗吉尼亚州的夏洛特维尔西面15英里，占地1600英亩，风景优美，还包括一个12英亩的湖泊!除了提供优质的学术课程，学校还开设多种多样的体育课程。米勒中学注重学生思维、实践和内心世界的全面发展。 对有实际需要的学生，学校还提供一对一的学习技巧辅导。
学校建于1878年，占地1600英亩，校园内有一个12英亩的自然湖。学校非常注重学生的全面发展，篮球队刚拿了州冠军，学校也装修扩建了几个实验室和艺术工作室，很值得一提的是学校有一个可以加工木器的实验室，学生的精致作品有：木碗，柜子，还有木作中等等。学生毕业去向也非常好，这几年有被哈佛大学，耶鲁大学，达特茅斯，弗吉尼亚大学等著名大学录取的学生。

Miller School of Albemarle is a coeducational day and boarding college preparatory school for students in grades 8-12 and PG. We have a 6 to 1 student-faculty ratio, a student population of approximately 160, and an average class size of 10-12. In addition, a one-on-one study skills course is available for those with a demonstrated need. This environment, where class sizes are kept small and personal attention is readily available, allows students to thrive. Several AP classes are available for qualified students, and our unique Design/Build program allows interested students to explore engineering and architecture while gaining hands-on experience. In addition to a healthy variety of academic courses, the Miller School of Albemarle offers a wide range of athletic programs. We are focused on educating the whole child
