普林斯顿大学创建于1746年，是世界著名的私立研究型大学，著名的常春藤联盟成员校之一。学校位于美国新泽西州的普林斯顿市，是一个安静祥和的小城。

普林斯顿大学在过去几年一直蝉联US News大学排名榜首，所以想要被普林斯顿录取绝非易事。大学申请材料中，高中成绩、标化分数和课外活动都很重要，但也不要忽视了补充文书的作用。多花一些时间雕琢补充文书，招生官不仅会对你的文笔留下深刻的印象，也会认定你是一名有竞争力的申请者。

作为美国大学执牛耳者的普林斯顿大学，今年对于补充文书题目的思考时间有点过长，原本官网表示将在7月底更新文书题目，但是在8月1日又突然改为将在8月中旬更新文书题目。

推测其文书题目“难产”的原因有以下两点：

一是由于疫情影响，今年普林斯顿大学宣布取消了早申环节，所以留给申请者创作文书的时间相对充足。

二是由于普林斯顿宣布今年不强制要求学生提交标化成绩，所以对于文书题目的设计需要更加的慎重，需要通过文书选拔出与自己匹配的学生。所以今年需要申请者回答的问题也比较多。

普林斯顿的补充文书属于不走寻常路的那种，因为除了工程学院之外，剩下的补充文书题目都不是那种经典的“Why School”文书，因此你没有机会在补充文书中说明普林斯顿为什么适合自己。但如果你能在文书中突出招生官看重的品质，他们就能判断你是否适合普林斯顿。
